Stardust Diaries

I’m sitting here in front of my laptop thinking of a way to start this…

HI! *grins* well, I know this may sound cheesy, but welcome to my new weekly installment… the Stardust Diaries! To be honest, I didn’t know I was going to be doing this until yesterday.

If you follow me on Instagram (@rubies_chrsitianbookreviews) you may have seen me post in my stories a couple of times about my ”prayer journal”. The short story is that I use my journal to pray (hehe). I’m a writer, and as you may know, writers express themselves better on paper. It was after posting a pic of my payer journal yesterday that I realized, why don’t I share snippets of them with everyone? Maybe it will help someone? I don’t know. There’s a lot of things God has been talking to me about writing, reading, and just life, and I would love to share it with you.

‘We don’t have to be like anyone else, we just have to be our best self.”

Think of this as mini weekly devos from of a bookish nerdy-writer sprinkled with book love and writing inspiration. As teens and young adults, I feel the world is trying to drown us in a lot of self-doubt and comparison, and it is slowly killing our joy and happiness, sometimes, without us even noticing. That’s exactly what God showed me yesterday. How terrible and hard I was being with myself. How I judged things about myself that were part of who I was and how God had created me. We don’t have to be like anyone else, we just have to be our best self. Easier said than done, right? And believe me, it’s hard. When the world is trying to sell you an image of what beauty, love, and life should be, its so hard to keep your eyes fixed on God, I know. I pray that the Stardust Diaries will be of some inspiration and reminder to you (and me) of God’s amazing grace and love.

With all the love in my heart,

Breny

”And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another…”
